UPNEEQ “EYELID LIFTING”

While it may sound like science fiction, the FDA-approved eye lifting drop is real: UPNEEQ® is a prescription eye drop that temporarily improves droopy eyelids, or ptosis, with a single daily dose.

Upneeq (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution), 0.1% is an eye drop that should be inserted once a day, one drop per eye. (Each single-use vial of Upneeq contains enough solution to treat one or both eyes at a time.) Upneeq contains oxymetazoline, an alpha adrenergic agonist that triggers the levator palpebrae muscle (Muller’s or Mueller’s muscle), causing the muscle to contract and raise the upper eyelid.

Upneeq works by stimulating an involuntary eyelid muscle, the Muller’s muscle, to contract.

In clinical studies, the average amount of upper eyelid lift was 1 mm. While this minor lift will not give you the dramatic results possible with surgery, this small lift can be cosmetically and/or medically beneficial to many patients.

CHEMICAL PEELS

This relatively painless procedure revitalizes dull lifeless skin to achieve a more luminous fresh appearance. Chemical peels promote skin cell turnover to diminish fine lines on the face, neck and chest.  It is commonly used to reduce age spots and dark patches in addition to improving the overall look and feel of the skin, including aging relative to sun damage. New! Now offering VI Peels which garner amazing results. MICRONEEDLING

This procedure reduces fine lines, minimizes pore size, tightens and rejuvenates the skin and can improve the appearance of acne and surgical scarring.  During this procedure, a device with tiny needles is used to insert superficial, vertical micro perforations into the top layer of the skin.  As a result, the skin naturally begins repair itself by producing collagen and elastin.  Most people can see a difference in one treatment.  Microneedling is generally done in a series spaced 30 days apart to allow the skin to respond and tighten in response to the treatment.

B12 INJECTIONS

Because the body does not absorb B vitamins very well, B12 injections give a boost of energy and vitality to restore health and maximize the body’s functional capacity. B12 injections are useful for fatigue, stress and chronic disease, and a number of other conditions including B12 deficiency. This is a quick, easy and painless procedure!

The use of certain medications and some health conditions may make AquaGold Fine Touch an unsuitable medical aesthetics treatment for some patients. WHAT DOES AQUA GOLD TREATMENT CONSIST OF?

AquaGold Fine Touch is a safe and effective microneedling procedure. There is no downtime, and you can resume normal activity immediately after your appointment. While there is only a minimal chance of bleeding during the procedure, we do advise that patients stop taking any non-prescription blood thinner medications or supplements in the one week prior to your appointment (i.e.: aspirin, NSAIDS, vitamin E). Do not stop taking any prescription blood thinners without consulting with your prescribing physician, but please do let us know about them at your initial consultation.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER AQUA GOLD?

After your AquaGold Fine Touch treatment at BabyFace LLC in Scottsdale, results are typically visible in three to seven days. Most patients report a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, less discoloration of the skin, reduced appearance of acne scars and healthier, more radiant looking skin. Results will typically last approximately three to four months. The procedure can be repeated as often as every one to three months. Completing several treatments throughout the year often enhances and extends results.
